The Aquis Great Barrier Reef Resort will be the largest of its kind in Australia and will rival the world’s most prestigious resorts.
The project’s estimated cost is $8.15 Billion AUD, and once completed will attract 1,000,000 visitors per year to Cairns and Far North Queensland.
The proposed project will reportedly include:
Eight Luxury Hotels comprising 7,500 rooms
A world Class Casino
18-Hole Golf Course
One of the world’s largest aquariums
Convention and Exibition Centre
A 12.4 hectare lagoon
High class retail shops
The project is expected to generate billions of dollars for the Cairns and Far North Queensland economy. If the project proceeds the positive flow-on effects for Cairns businesses and property markets will be significant.
